Bihar Real Estate is dedicated to providing a secure platform for property discovery. However, the real estate market is susceptible to scams. Please read these mandatory safety guidelines before making any financial commitments.
Do not transfer token money, booking amounts, or registration fees via UPI, IMPS, or bank transfer without physically visiting the property and verifying the seller's identity in person.
Demand to see original title deeds, the latest Lagan (tax) receipts, and the Mutation (Dakhil Kharij) documents. Verify these details online on the official Bihar Bhumi portal.
If buying an under-construction apartment, cross-check the builder's RERA Registration Number on rera.bihar.gov.in. Ensure their bank escrow account is active.
A common scam involves fake listers claiming to be Army/Police personnel who are "urgently transferring" and need a quick deposit via QR code. Stop all communication if someone asks you to scan a QR code to "receive" or "verify" money.
If you encounter a listing with incredibly low prices, fake photos, or a lister who refuses a physical meeting, stop communicating immediately.
Use the "Report Listing" button on the property page, or email our fraud prevention team at [email protected] with the Property ID.
